About Laura

Classical training with a modern, inclusive approach

Laura Gravere is a Latvian-Canadian ballet, movement and yoga instructor whose background combines professional dance, choreography, education and wellness.

She graduated from Riga Ballet School and went on to work with the Latvian National Opera. Laura later studied choreography and ballet pedagogy at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, where she developed her knowledge of teaching, composition and stage movement. She continued her dance education in Rome, expanding her experience in classical and contemporary movement.

After moving to Canada, Laura became a certified yoga teacher and has taught in studios throughout British Columbia since 2018. She has experience working with children, teenagers, athletes and adults of different ages, abilities and experience levels.

Her classes bring together Vaganova-inspired barre work, ballet technique, yoga stretching, meditation, fitness exercises and ballet history. Laura’s approach focuses on posture, flexibility, coordination, musicality, strength, confidence and artistic expression.

Laura also holds Early Childhood Education, Infant and Toddler, and Special Needs certifications. She owns and operates a licensed childcare centre, bringing a strong understanding of child development, inclusion and creative learning into her teaching.

Her professional background also includes experience in real estate and interior design, which has strengthened her appreciation for structure, balance, presentation and thoughtfully designed spaces.
